Initially, the monument stood on the market square in Zwönitz, but when it was remodeled, it was moved to the Ziegenberg. It commemorates the founding of the German Empire in 1880/1871 and honors four great men in history: Albert von Wettin (the last King of Saxony); Otto von Bismarck (the first German Chancellor); Wilhelm I (German Emperor & King 👑 of Prussia); Helmuth Graf von Moltke (former Field Marshal).
