The Frauengasse (Ul. Mariacka) lies between St. Mary's Church and the Mottlau river promenade, and for many it is considered the most beautiful street in Gdańsk. Here too, there are narrow and beautifully decorated houses with their elevated terraces, which have nowadays been converted into souvenir shops and restaurants. Many amber products are sold here, so anyone who wants to take such a souvenir home will find it here, and nowhere else is historic Gdańsk better experienced. The alley had to be completely rebuilt between 1950 and 1970, as everything had been damaged by the war.
