The permanent exhibition in the Heinrich Sauermann House shows art and cultural history from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. The neighboring Hans-Christiansen-Haus shows Schleswig-Holstein art from the 19th to the 21st century.

High above the old town is the Flensburg Museum, founded in 1876. The 2-building facility houses one of the largest museums in Schleswig-Holstein.
Inaugurated in 1903 Heinrich-Sauermann House are mainly scientific elements and built in 1896 Hans-Christiansen House regional art from the 19th century to the present.
In addition, from the Museumsberg you have a beautiful view of Flensburg's old town and harbor.
