The oldest building in Bemmel is the Protestant church, a building from the twelfth century, which was dedicated to Saint Donatus or Benignus before the Reformation. In 1873, a Roman Catholic church was founded in Bemmel again; the Donatus Church, again dedicated to Donatus. In 2015, this church was withdrawn from worship and is now used as a theater church under the name Theaterkerk Bemmel. Opposite the church is the Huis te Bemmel, a 15th/16th century castle.

In the center of Bemmel is the monumental house Brugdijk, which was built in the late Middle Ages. After the Second World War, this house served as an annex to the town hall.[2] In 2013, Brugdijk was sold by the municipality. Since 2014, the building has been used as a commercial building.

The 15th century Pollenbering castle was demolished around 1805.

Essenpas castle stood between Bemmel and Haalderen. Just south of the castle was a chapel.
