Hiking

The name 'De Woerdt' refers to a height. In the past, major floods forced residents to build their homes on natural and artificial elevations, so-called drakes. The farm was built at the end of the 18th century on the centuries-old post road between Nijmegen and Arnhem. There was an orchard as early as 1832 and there is an old well under the front house. Local products can be purchased in the associated country shop. Since 1977, various types of apples, pears, cherries, morello cherries, medlars, walnuts and plums have been grown here.
