This morning I started my hike in Geusseltpark in Maastricht, near 🏰 Geusselt Castle. As a small child, I already knew this ‘kestielke’ from playing football on the lawn in front of it. Beautiful memories of a happy and carefree time! ⚽️😊

Today is the fourth and final day of my first Heuvelland 4-Day Hike.
From Berg & Terblijt, the route went towards the first intermediate stop in Klein Haasdal, and then set course for the beautiful 🏰 Wijnandsrade. The route then meandered via forest paths and open fields towards the Water Tower of Schimmert

After two intensive weeks of training 🪂 in the French Alps and a few days to get the leg muscles back to walking level, it was time for a new adventure: my first Heuvelland 4-Daagse. Not the maximum 42k, but a lovely 28k at a nice relaxed pace. 😄

Today a small but nice hike to the waterfalls of Alloix, located in the Chartreuse mountains between Grenoble and Chambéry.
A short and accessible loop of less than four kilometers, but with enough to see along the way. Via well-maintained climbing paths, past and over small bridges, and by the remains
