Lauenburg Castle is the ruin of a two-part high medieval hilltop castle – Große Lauenburg and Kleine Lauenburg – in the Harz Mountains near the village of Stecklenberg in the Harz district of Saxony-Anhalt.

The ruins of Große Lauenburg and Kleine Lauenburg are located on the castle hill (356.1 m above sea level), southwest of Stecklenberg (a district of the town of Thale), a northern spur of the Ramberg massif. They are approximately 200 m apart. The ruins of Stecklenberg lie approximately 630 m to the northeast.
