The ruin of Lauenburg stands high above Stecklenberg. From the tower, whose viewing platform was created by a scaffolding, one overlooks the Harz foreland. The main castle is a few meters away. Immediately impresses the moat, which is crossed by a staircase. Probably the biggest highlight of the ruin is a linden tree, which forms a protective tunnel with its roots. The ruin is freely accessible at any time. Nearby is the Stecklenburg another ruin. The adjacent Wurmbachtal offers unbelievable peace.

Interesting ruins in the middle of the forest. Absolutely also the witches tree on Torweg view. In fog, the terrain looks almost mystical ... just great!

I usually do not care about the old walls, if you want, you can visit the castle, have a snack here, but I do not know if open even in winter

Fantastic view, the stairs in the tower were built with a cool donation idea, you could buy a step and this was then given your name 💪
