The path is rudimentary paved. Every now and then my 1A has views of the ocean or the place below. The various colorful plant life along the way are then the icing on the cake;)

Hiking

The Vereda dos Zimbreiros on the east side of Paul do Mar, like the Caminho Real to the west, is one of the routes built to get to and from the remote villages, if you don't mind the expensive access by sea could afford.
These routes were often completed with a correspondingly heavy load.
Real cultural asset (apart from the picturesque area)!
