The Roman Catholic church is the fourth building on this site. The previous wooden church from 1771 was destroyed by fire in 1808. In 1820, construction began on the new, stone church. In 1824, it was consecrated to the Holy Trinity. In 1909, the church tower was raised by four meters and in 1912 the tower clock was installed, which shows the passage of time in all four directions. Numerous changes and renovations have been made over the years. Inside the church there is, among other things, a statue of Saint Anthony of Padua from 1906. The masterpiece of the church is the balcony organ with 24 pipes. It was built between 1972 and 1974 by craftsmen from Vienna and Budapest.
Attila Kiss, who lives in the rectory across the street, has been the priest of the church for more than ten years. Here, the priest also keeps the animals for his unusual hobby: he races sled dogs with his huskies. He is the most successful of only three priests in the world who practice this sport: Kiss has won numerous titles, including the world championship once.
