Sigmaringen's old town is undoubtedly a pretty eye-catcher, but it is clearly dominated by the Hohenzollern Castle Sigmaringen. If you want to visit the old town, you only need 1.5 hours. It is not big and the number of historical buildings is manageable. However, if you like to wander around historical towns, you will find that there are places that have much more to offer. But that is not a criticism. You have what you have. What makes Sigmaringen attractive in our view is its scenic surroundings with the Danube. Ultimately, it is the overall package that makes it.
