An imposing row of stately buildings from the second half of the 19th century borders the historic village center of the Borgo to the south. The builders of these residences were emigrated, mostly Protestant confectioners. From the beginning of the 19th century until the First World War, these Poschiavo residents made their fortune with their Swiss cafes all over Europe. The connection to their homeland has been preserved over generations and is expressed here in a particularly splendid way.
