The former town hall Johannisthal is located on Sterndamm / corner Hoevelstraße. It was built in 1906 for 180,000 marks. The property was donated by the Trützschler heirs.
Until GDR times was here until 1989, the People's Police Inspection Treptow. Today, the Museum Treptow is housed here.

It was built from 1905 to 1906 in the neo-Renaissance style for the then independent Brandenburg community of Johannisthal, which was incorporated into Greater Berlin in October 1920.
