The gatehouses of the Beelitz sanatorium played a central role in the organization and security of the sanatorium complex. These buildings served as entrance controls and managed access to the extensive facilities. The gatehouses were the first point of contact for visitors, patients and staff. Access was controlled here to ensure that only authorized persons could enter the premises.
