August 2021: "Lake Angermund is actually the declared main destination of our current hike, which is why we're heading south-west from Lintorf.
We used to go swimming here, but unfortunately, we won't have enough time today, and the weather isn't all that inviting.
However, there are some fantastic paths, trails, and spots with water access on the approximately four-kilometer-long western bypass around the lake.

A dreary stretch is followed by a wild path that might not appeal to all hikers, as it lies before us so narrow, overgrown, and thorny; we are thrilled by its wildness.
In general, the lake enchants with its clear water, which sometimes appears bright blue depending on the light, its small pebble beaches, and its peaceful tranquility.
Soon, however, at a different shore, we find ourselves in the midst of the barren redesign of the same lake and quickly escape to the next wild section of the trail."

The Angermunder lake is quiet and secluded and many do not know it, it is really an idyll.

Lake Angermund is a gravel pit near Angermund in Düsseldorf. Gravel mining created three gravel pits in and around Angermund, including Lake Angermund. Today, some of them are used as (wild) swimming lakes and attract visitors, especially from the Ruhr region.
