The Ossuary Temple is located in Piazzale Cadorna, in the center of Bassano del Grappa. It is an imposing neo-Gothic building, in red brick, with a double bell tower and a facade decorated with pinnacles. The exterior is in Gothic-Venetian style with traces of Romanesque style; the massive mass rises above eight Pove stone steps and is topped by an austere octagonal lantern, streamlined by two nimble bell towers 60 meters high. The interior, in the shape of a Latin cross, is 75 meters long and has three naves divided by 10 marble columns.

After the First World War, many soldiers were temporarily buried in the foothills of the cemeteries around Monte Grappa, which needed a definitive and dignified arrangement. The cathedral was thus used as an ossuary. About 6,000 soldiers were buried inside, of which 236 were decorated.

In August 1936, General Gaetano Giardino's funeral took place in the temple, where he wanted to be finally buried "among his soldiers", as he wrote. On February 8, 1945, a cluster of bombs fell in front of the facade, exposing many niches.

A large fountain by the Povese sculptor Natalino Andolfatto was recently installed next to the ossuary.

Imposing building in Gothic-Venetian style with traces of Romanesque style with two bell towers of 60 meters high. After the First World War, many soldiers were temporarily buried in the cemeteries around Monte Grappa, where a definitive and dignified settlement was needed. The cathedral was therefore used as a charnel house. About 6,000 soldiers were buried inside, of which 236 were decorated. In August 1936, General Gaetano Giardino's funeral took place in the temple, where he wanted to be finally buried "among his soldiers", as he wrote.
