Trunkhütte Shelter

The Trunkhütte, named after forester Trunk, offers hikers shelter for a break in adverse weather conditions. A plaque attached indicates the services of the forester to the benefit of the Steigerwald and its visitors.

On the path, which runs mainly on a wooded drifting sand dune from the Quaternary, there are several highlights to explore, such as the Glösberg vantage point with a fantastic view over the Kitzingen wine district on a clear day or the vantage point above Ebersbrunn, which offers a view of the varied landscape of the ' Steigerwald Nature Park 'releases.
