Sct. Morten's Church is the oldest church in Randers and the only one of the city's five medieval churches still standing.
The current church is 500 years old, but a church stood on this site over 700 years ago.
The church is dedicated to Saint Morten, who was the patron saint of mercy towards the poor in society and was therefore one of the most popular saintly figures of the Middle Ages.
The church also contains a modern altarpiece by Per Kirkeby. The painting was inaugurated in 2004 and depicts Good Friday in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Sct. Mortens Church has been built in the years 1485-1520. Of particular interest are:
a) The altarpiece with a painting by the painter Per Kirkeby (1938-2018) from 2004.
b) The baptismal font of the painter and ceramist Jais Nielsen (1886-1961) from 1951.
