Skuldelev Ås has been protected since 1951 and it has thus been saved from excavation to gurs. The hill clearly emerges as a ridge with a length of almost 5 km, a width of up to 100 m and a height of between 15-26 m. The hill starts at a former gravel pit at Sankt Olavs Kilde and extends almost all the way to Skuldelev harbor . Skuldelev Ås was formed at the end of the last ice age 18-20,000 years ago.

Skuldelev Ås (ås = elevation) has been under nature protection since 1951 and was therefore preserved as a gravel pit before the destruction. The elevation is clearly visible in the landscape, it is almost 5 km long, up to 100 meters wide and has an elevation of between 15 and 26 meters. The elevation formed at the end of the last ice age 18-20,000 years ago.4 days ago
