The hall church, built in 1439, consists of a nave and a choir closed on three sides in the northeast, supported by two buttresses, between which stands the church tower, at its core a choir tower from the 13th century. After a fire in 1693, the church tower was restored and an octagonal storey was added, which houses the tower clock and the belfry with four church bells, and covered with a bell dome in 1887/89. The nave was also rebuilt between 1694 and 1707 and later extended to the southwest. In 1910, the choir had to be secured due to a lack of stability, which meant that its interior was completely built up.
