Hiking

The "French Parterre" is the best cold room in Cologne in summer. The fountain shoots over 20 m high, so that clouds of water are always blowing over the edge of the pool. They provide cooling like the famous nebulizers in Paris. The only other place that is as refreshing is the Rheinpark with 14 bowl fountains, easily accessible by cable car.

In winter, some people miss the palm tree in the large flower bed. Don't worry, it is in the winter garden and can be put back outside in spring.
