This hiking highlight refers to the equestrian statues in honor of the ruling Hohenzollern family - initially Prussian kings and later German emperors - which stand on both banks of the Hohenzollern Bridge named after them.

However, some of the photos show the equestrian statue on the Heumarkt - which is standing completely different - and can be easily distinguished from this one by the base with many figures.

On the left side of the Hohenzollern Bridge is the only equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm II. He was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia until the 1918 revolution. The equestrian statue of his father, Emperor Frederick III, is also on the western side of the bridge.

The mighty equestrian statue stands at the entrance to the Hohenzollern Bridge.

The emperor sits proudly on his horse and watches over the bridge.

For train travelers the first impression of the city.🐎
