Alone because of the love locks, the bridge is a highlight. But it is also impressive how the trains roll over the bridge every minute.

It is best to take the train over the bridge. Then you realize how busy the bridge is.

At the grid fence on the bridge you will find thousands of love locks. Nice view of the old town and the Rhine.

The Hohenzollern Bridge is the bridge most heavily loaded with steel locks in the area. Lovers have been setting up steel locks here for decades.
From the Hohenzollern bridge fantastic views are possible.

For several years now, couples in love have been attaching a small padlock to the railing on the Hohenzollern Bridge in order to - very romantically - swear eternal love. The key is traditionally thrown into the Rhine together.

The Hohenzollern Bridge was built from 1907 to 1911. The Hohenzollern Bridge is the only bridge in Cologne that has not been destroyed by bombs. Rather, it took over the Wehrmacht on March 6, 1945 itself to complicate the approaching Allies by blowing up the bridge a crossing of the Rhine.

The Hohenzollern Bridge is a bridge over the Rhine in Cologne at river kilometer 688.5. The original structure, erected between 1907 and 1911, consisted of two railway bridges and one road bridge. After 1945, only two railway bridges were rebuilt, and a third one was added later.
It is also the bridge of lovers, as can be seen easily from the countless locks that decorate the railing.

One of the highlights in Cologne.
Especially in the evening when it is dark. It is also one of the most popular photo opportunities in Cologne. All the castles on the bridge are breathtaking.
