komoot.com/de-de/user/belgienwallonieOn this hike, you follow the ever-winding course of the Hoëgne River, which develops from a small trickle to a wildly romantic, rushing stream.
You start at the beautiful Promenade de la Hoëgne and are already in the middle of nature. The Hoëgne meanders through rocky banks and repeatedly flows through the rocks like a waterfall. At the small "Cascade Marie-Henriette" waterfalls, the river collects in rock pools with crystal-clear water. Cairns erected by hikers make this place a particularly beautiful photo spot.
Afterwards, you'll walk along numerous wooden walkways on the "Chemin sur les ponts de Hoëgne" through one of the most beautiful sections of the valley. Waterfalls trickle around you, and small ponds gather here and there. At the Ponte Centenaire, you'll cross the fairytale bridge of the century and leave the Hoëgne.
The path now leads you deep into forest areas, which will accompany you until the end of your circular tour. At the end of the tour, you can stop for a bite to eat at the cozy restaurant Le Chalet du Pont de Belleheid.
