This mill from 1528 is Thuringia's only surviving oil and barley mill with stamping and pressing equipment. In 1738, the mill and part of the village were destroyed in a major fire. After its reconstruction, it continued to produce oil until 1918 and barley until the 1950s. The water wheel, which is 3.5 meters in diameter and weighs 1.4 tons, is a testament to the mill's former power.
