The Burghausen City Park was created on the occasion of the 2004 State Garden Show. In addition to a large open space in the middle, it offers various highlights such as the play mountains, the water area with its tidal fountain, the garden cabinets, the cloud forest, the linden home or the tree roofs. Today - more than 15 years after the LGS - all attractions are still in very good condition.
With the city park, Burghausen was given a green center in 2004, which is used by many castle houses for local recreation.
The "tree roofs" in the city park are plane trees. In 2004, they were the largest single LGS investment in plants. Since then, they have been kept in shape and have become much more beautiful and denser. In summer they delight the people of Burghausen with their thick canopy of leaves.

The city park created by the State Garden Show gave the citizens of the new town a permanent local recreation area with a water basin, play area and garden spaces - the new green center, which was connected to the old town and the forest park as a new sports and leisure park via the longest castle complex in Europe (1,036 meters).

The city park is in the heart of the new town and was created as part of the State Garden Show (2004).

The city park with play mountains in the new town can be described as almost unique. Here you will find cozy, romantic seating in a park that invites you to take a walk and rest in the middle of a green oasis. The main attraction - even for "big kids" - is the blue and white play mountains, which are up to 5 meters high.

In the summer months there are free concerts at the "Music at the Water Square".
