Burghausen Castle is one of the longest castles in the world, just over 1,000 meters long! And one of the most magnificent - its medieval, mighty bulwark was considered the strongest fortress in the country. So you can spend a lot of time here, if you want to take a look at the whole area. But it's worth it. Just the view from one of the five courtyards down to the city is a dream.

The castle also houses the Stadtmuseum Burghausen and the Haus der Fotografie (Dr. Robert Gerlich Museum).

Opening hours:

April to October 6: daily 9am to 6pm

October 7-March: every day 10 am to 4 pm

Entry:

4.5 euros (only castle), 9 euros (castle and museums)

Children (up to 18 years) pay 3.5 euros or 7 euros.
