    Not passable at the moment.

A path that is not completely banal.

Also very narrow, so that greater consideration is required at the moment.

      But it's worth it:

With the most beautiful section of the already beautiful circular route.

        Update 8/24/25:

Unfortunately, the path has been impassable for some time and is deliberately blocked.

The Oberstleutnantweg (Lieutenant Colonel's Path) begins/ends just to the left behind the bench (coming from Lauenburg). Currently (December 20, 2021), the access from here is almost impossible to see and is also blocked by a lot of undergrowth. Perhaps you should try a little further.

The Oberstleutnantweg is a narrow, idyllic path that runs below the picturesque hillside houses on Elbkamp and above the Elbuferweg (Elbe River Path). The path was named after Georg Brinkmann (1840 Isenbüttel near Hanover – 1924 Lauenburg). He came from an old officer family and retired as a lieutenant colonel in 1891. He rode along this path every morning. From open spots in the deciduous forest, you can enjoy wonderful views of the Elbe.

The Oberstleutnantweg (Lieutenant Colonel's Trail) was impassable for some time due to fallen trees – but now it's open again. Coming from Lauenburg, a sign indicates that the trail is only open to the peat deposit, but you can continue beyond that.

I suspect that the trail isn't officially open all the way for liability reasons. You really have to walk there carefully and with concentration, and if you do, it's at your own risk and without guarantee. Some sections of the trail should be approached with caution. But I really enjoy it when there's a bit more variety.
