Hiking
First mentioned in the Altensteiger Forestry Book in 1614, the historic farmers' saw is operated by forest farmers from the surrounding districts of Altensteig. The water wheel system demonstrates how a water-powered sawmill was used to process tree trunks.
The mill tours can be booked by arrangement and last approx. 30 minutes (short tour) or approx. 60 minutes (show sawing).
