Castell Castle

The castle is located in the center of Castell and is inhabited by the princely family of Castell-Castell, who among other things live from viticulture. In the forecourt of the castle grow oranges, figs and other tropical fruits, which underlines the good location here.

Today's Castell Castle is a noble residence in Lower Franconian Castell. The buildings of the complex were built in the 17th century on the site of a former Freihof. The castle is located in the middle of the village and is on the Schlossplatz street and is inhabited by the family of the princes of Castell-Castell.

Castle of the Castell family. The castle park is privately owned by the Castell family and is only open to the public in the southern, landscaped section. However, the formally designed, private castle park is open to visitors on occasions such as the Casteller country house days or the Casteller wine festival, as well as on arranged tours.
