Who does not know it, the Böselstein in Bad Bibraer Flur, which is reminiscent of a well-known journeyman miller and son of the Finnish city, who lost his life in the battle of Königsgrätz in 1866 at the age of 27.
Christian Karl Julius Bösel was born on May 7th, 1839 in Groß-Osterhausen near Eisleben.
Until the early death of his father in 1850, he had a carefree childhood with his 3 siblings.
After graduating from secondary school in Halle, Julius Bösel began to learn the miller's trade from his brother Franz at the age of 14, to which he felt himself called and which also made him move to Bad Bibra.(Source: steinbach-im-netz.de)
