    Hiking

Klein- and Großenhül get their name from the Hül. This is what the village ponds on the Franconian Jura were called, which used to ensure the water supply for the residents. They were mainly used for fire protection purposes and as a watering place for livestock. In-house cisterns were used for drinking water. While in Großenhül there is only one pond left outside the village, in Kleinhül there is still a pond in the middle of the village. Boat races are held there for special festivals, and in winter young people go ice skating on it.
