Most popular destination in the Harz National Park
At 1142 m above sea level, the Brocken is the highest elevation in Northern Germany and is practically right on your doorstep at the SCHIERKE Harzresort holiday home. As the summit rises above the tree line, you can look out over the treetops from the top. In good to very good weather conditions, parts of Thuringia and the Weser Uplands can be seen from here. However, as mist swirls around the summit for about 300 days a year, the mountain peak is rarely visible from the valley.
