Town Hall, Altdorf
The classicist building forms the rear of the town hall square. The Uri district council with 64 members from 20 municipalities and the seven-member government council meet here. The Bessler fountain on the town hall square was built in 1568 and is said to have replaced the court linden tree.

The construction of the town hall of Uri in Altdorf was completed in 1805/08 after a city fire in 1799 partially destroyed the place and the occupation by the French took place.
