Colonel General Erich Hoepner, who was later executed as a resistance fighter, temporarily lived in the large villa at the Toelleturm. Colonel Claus Stauffenberg, who was also temporarily stationed in Wuppertal, lived a little further away towards Barmen on Lönsstrasse.
