    The church was built in the 13th century from field stones and was first mentioned in 1346 in the Meissen diocese register. After the church was closed by building authorities in 1970 due to its dilapidation, it was able to be used for church services again for the first time in 1991 after three years of repairs. The altar was carved in 1588 from local pine wood. It was restored in 1997/98. Further information on
