The Tinnum Castle is an inconspicuous, simple ring wall - but obviously the oldest in Schleswig-Holstein. First finds date from the years around 0! Presumably, the "castle" was originally an important place of worship and later a kind of protective castle.

Tinnum Castle is the best preserved along with other Sylt castles (Archsum Castle and Rantum Castle). But to see there is "only" the ramparts of the system used (roughly) in the 8th century.
