Hiking

The Uwe-Düne is located about one kilometer from Kampen. A wooden staircase with 110 steps leads to the viewing platform at its summit. The view is gigantic and in good weather, you can not only look over large parts of Sylt, but even as far as the Danish North Sea island of Rømø and the German and Danish mainland.

The 52.5-meter-high Uwe-Düne is the island's highest point and is worth the climb. You have a good panoramic view from it. It is not too far from the parking lots, or it can be easily incorporated into a circular tour. Not far from it are the lighthouse and the Red Cliff. The dune area around the dune is also worth seeing.
