The Puthuis on the market of 's-Hertogenbosch is a reconstruction of a historic city well. It forms an ensemble with an adjacent Onze-Lieve-Vrouwehuisje. Both buildings were completed in 2016. The design of the building is inspired by a medieval painting depicting two comparable structures. The painting from circa 1530, entitled De Lakenmarkt, is seen from Kerkstraat. The work of art, made by an anonymous painter, is in the possession of the Noordbrabants Museum and is part of the permanent collection.
