Another part of the Maasketting, beautiful stretch along the Maas with partially mown paths. Nice castle ruin near Batenburg. Another walk through Heerlijkheid Appeltern. At the end, a nice ice cream and back home.

May, many people walk to Sint Jan in Den Bosch in May. We started early at 6:30, we wanted to be home before the worst heat. We took the shortest route to Den Bosch. Hike surroundings Heesch over and through the Berkt estate, it takes some getting used to the temperature but it was lovely to walk. 90% of the hike is unpaved.

We had to be in the city for a bit and then cycled on to the Sterrenbosch in Vught. After a delicious lunch at Moekes, we started a wonderful walk with the sun shining above us. A beautiful loop and then back on the bikes to head home.

A bike ride with a strong breeze to Tiel and via the ferry to the other side. Unfortunately, the dike is also closed there, so the route has become a bit longer. Then via the bridge at Beneden-Leeuwen towards Heerewaarden where we enjoyed a cup of coffee with 🍰 at the campsite.
