The Uruguay was a sailing training ship of the Argentine Navy that was originally built as a corvette. After many years of service with a variety of tasks, she is now moored as a museum ship at the Boca Bridge in the port of Buenos Aires.

The ARA Uruguay is a historic sail/steam ship of the Argentine Navy. It was commissioned in1874 and is the last of the legendary squadron of President Sarmiento. During its naval career between 1874-1926, the Uruguay took part in revolutions, ransoms, expeditions and rescues. It has been a gunboat, school ship, expedition support ship, Antarctic rescue ship, fisheries base supply ship and hydrographic survey vessel. These days it makes for a fine free entry museum ship in Puerto Madero.
