Hiking
The Kaandel Park is named after the Oude Kaandel, the former city canal that protected Deinze. It has been opened up again like a narrow moat in its old place. You can also clearly see that the park is low-lying, part of the old Brielmeersen, and that the city itself is slightly higher on a dry sand ridge.
