Unfortunately, the city museum, which was previously located in the armory, has still not been able to open at the alternative location here. But there is a real Cologne nativity scene in one of the shop windows. The events of the birth of Christ are set against the original backdrop of the Altermarkt. Some of the characters are known from the Hänneschen theater, others represent original types from a time long past.

For a long time, the Cologne City Museum was housed in the so-called "Zeughaus" (see komoot.de/highlight/4585087 and komoot.de/highlight/6312370 ), which was closed years ago due to the need for renovation. The new quarters of the city museum can be found in Minoritenstraße as a temporary solution.
