The Altenberger Pinge (also Altenberger Binge) is a Pinge in Altenberg in the Eastern Ore Mountains that was created by mining for tin stone. The main rupture occurred in 1620. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Pinge only had an area of around 2.5 hectares. Especially from about 1976 it was significantly expanded by intensive ore mining.
