The Sengbach Dam is a drinking water reservoir in the Solingen city area and is located in a secluded side valley of the Wupper near Burg Castle. It was built between 1900 and 1903 according to the so-called Intze principle and supplies Solingen with drinking water via a nearby waterworks.

From the dam you have a great view over the lake and the surrounding landscape. It's really old, this good thing! It was built at the beginning of the 20th century. And it's still standing rock solid and doing its job.
