Hiking Highlight
From here you have a good view of the Villa Hügel.
The scenic hillside location overlooking Lake Baldeney was designed by the industrial pioneer Alfred Krupp himself and was built between 1870 and 1873. In addition to being a private home for the Krupp family, the villa was designed to represent Krupp. Kaiser kings, heads of government and politicians of many nations were guests here. With all the corporate will to represent that the building embodies, Alfred Krupp was less interested in architectural aesthetics than in the utmost in convenience and functionality.

A mostly relaxed tour through mostly flat terrain, only the ascent to the old castle is exhausting but feasible.
