Station 24 of the viewpoints distributed around Essen. Here without markings, but with a bench and a great view towards Lake Baldeney.

"This vantage point in the approximately 184 hectare Fischlaker Mark nature reserve offers a wonderful view of the Baldeneysee and the Schellenberg forest behind it. Between the trees, two popular tourist restaurants greet you over the water: the Schwarze Lene and the Schellenberg hunting lodge. The Schwarze Lene was first mentioned in 1807. The summer restaurant owes its name to the landlady Anna Magdalena Bramkamp and her black hair. A frequent guest was the so-called "Trampelclub", a hiking club of "highly esteemed" Essen gentlemen, to whom Alfred Krupp also belonged. The Schellenberg hunting lodge was built in 1836 by Baron Vittinghoff-Schell as a residential building for his forest workers and was later expanded and rebuilt several times. In the meantime, the building housed a coffee shop with the fitting name "Schöne Aussicht"."

Station 24 of the "Essen Outlook", which was set up in 2017 on the occasion of the "Green Capital of Europe". Here without a concrete marker, but with a bench and a beautiful view towards Lake Baldeney.
