The old pilgrimage path through wild gorges and past hellish ravines requires basic alpine equipment and a certain amount of head for heights. The view and experience are magnificent. 🥾🥾

Hiking

A very beautiful, varied, but also strenuous hiking trail through the Sperrbachtobel. Even in August there was still a thick layer of ice on the edge of the path. The many small streams of the stream provide a pleasant cooling effect on hot days. There are also wire ropes to hold on to. We started in Spielmannsau and stayed one night at the Kemptener Hütte. We continued on to the Heilbronner Höhenweg.

Hiking

The E5 hiking trail really begins in the Sperrbachtobel. A narrow hiking trail that crosses the stream several times and leads first through green forest and then into the treeless region to the Kemptner Hut.
After heavy rain or snowfall, the Sperrbachtobel is often closed due to rock avalanches. You may want to check online or at the tourist information office beforehand.
