The residential building An der Liebfrauenkirche 4 is one of the most beautiful sights in Arnstadt with the so-called Thuringian ladder as the dominant decorative motif. The house built for the paper maker Joachim Keyßner was built in 1633. However, the portal and the door have rococo shapes, which suggests that this part probably dates from the end of the 18th century.
