The theater in the castle garden was built in 1842 by the conversion of the former princely riding course on order Günther Friedrich Carl II. In the following decades, the playhouse lived through many ups and downs and was threatened by closures. The house was reopened in 1995 after extensive renovation and restoration. It is partly recorded with its own amateur ensemble, but mostly from other theaters (Wikipedia).
